Mental Health Matters

Mental Health Matters Helpline is a confidential service staffed by highly trained and experienced telephone helpline workers, offering emotional support to people.

Our helpline also provides information on local and national mental health services and can signpost you to further support.

You do not need to have been diagnosed with a mental health need to call our helpline. Anyone can contact us about a range of issues, for which they may need emotional support, including bereavement, relationship problems, loneliness, isolation and stress. The helpline can provide ongoing support over a period of time. We are also here to support people who are caring for others with mental health needs.

Rights of Women

Rights of Women is a women's voluntary organisation committed to informing, educating and empowering women concerning their legal rights. Criminal law advice line for advice on issues including: sexual offences, including rape and sexual assault, domestic violence and harassment, reporting offences to the police and the criminal justice system, the rights of victims, witnesses and defendants, and criminal injuries compensation.

The helpline provides information on location, dates, times of GUM (STI) clinics, emergency contraception and other contraception including details of sexual health outreach and school nurses.

MIGRANT HELPLINE SERVICES

 

Migrant Helpline

We run a One Stop Service with offices throughout Kent and East Sussex which provide advice and support to asylum seekers and refugees settled in the local area.  In addition to One Stop, we provide a specialist advice service for EU Migrants called the Migrant Advice Service.  In Kent we run integration projects.

Our Foreign National Prisoner Advice Service caters for foreign nationals who are serving a custodial sentence and need advice or assistance.

We provide support for victims of human trafficking in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
